Not enough time.

Yesterday I went to Birmingham.

I didn’t really plan anything, just to walk around and see what I found.

I wanted to see if I found anything nice to take photos of, and I did. My camera did not get much rest.

 Food and drinks:

Boston tea party cafe -I ordered their red berry ice tea, this comes in a cute kilner type glass and tasted good.

They have a large selection of cakes and also serves food.

When I walked past Sundaes gelato for the second time I couldnt help myself, just had to go in and order their watermelon sorbet. It was so tasty.

 Handel:

 Shopping:

From you walk into the train station and take the escalator up a level you are in Grand Central, a shopping centre.
Here you will find everything you need and there are plenty of restaurants if you should get hungry or thirsty.

There is also a small “street” with more shops that leads into Bullring, another shopping centre.

The shopping possibilities are so much better than in Northampton, I rediscovered a few shops that I remember from London but I had kind of forgot.

I was especially happy when I found my favourite shoe store, a real shoe heaven.

Irregular Choice have many special and beautiful shoes and they sell my favourite brand, Poetic License.

I just couldn’t spend all the time in a shopping centre so I went outside walking around a little also.

I didn’t have enough time so I, I wouldn’t be surprised if I book another trip here.

Elephant and Castle.

I sometimes work for a company who have recently moved and now have their offices in Elephant and Castle. I dont really know the area well, I was there once for an event at the student film festival and I think I drove past on the bus once. When I there yesterday I had some time to kill and I stopped by the shopping center. I was not impressed. There was a Boots and a Tesco (that sold Krispy Kremes) but the rest of the center looked like an indoor market, just like the one they have outside. Filled with stalls selling iphone covers and cheap sims cards for mobiles.
Maybe I am just not the target customer or maybe I am just a London snob but I dont think I will spend much of my time there.

Nautical

Nautical is one of my favourite styles and I love Modcloth for stocking so many great pieces.

Here are some from my wishlist.

A treat.

Today I couldnt resist and treated myself to a new lipstick.

The choice fell on Revlon lipbutter in the colour Creme Brulee since I wanted a lighter shade than the one I already have.

So now my lipstick collection have doubled.

The Jacket.

The search for the jacket is not going very well.

I saw it first time at H&M in Brent Cross shopping center and instantly fell for it since I been wanting a red leather jacket for a while now, so I tried it but it was to small.

Since H&M is a very common store I thought it would be no problems finding it in another store but I have now been to every H&M in the Oxford street area and also in the Covent Garden branch.

Yesterday I went all the way to Stratford and today I was in Camden.I found it in many of the stores but it’s not the right size, most of the stores sen to have plenty of size 8 and 10, but it is to small.

I am not giving up yet, I am planning to go to Westfield in White City and High Street Kensington.

Wish me luck!

Yesterday.

Yesterday I went out in the snow. Part of the Northern Line was closed so I walked down to Camden Town. When I got to Covent Garden I first stopped by H&M to see if they had any good bargains and I found this nice skirt.

014

I really love the pattern and cant wait to wear it.

After H&M I went to Daskalides Chocolatier to buy my favourite chocolate, Kenya Noir. I also stopped buy “The cute panda store” (or Artbox as it is really called) and FOPP where I bought the film Whip It (starring Ellen Page, Juliette Lewis and Drew Barrymore as roller derby stars.) It is Barrymore who directed it. After walking around so much I got hungry so I went back to Camden and treated myself to some Chinese take away and went home to watch more The Big Bang Theory.
